Miami, Nov. 13, 2017 – Miami Dade College (MDC) will illuminate its historic Freedom Tower purple in support of The Miami Foundation’s Give Miami Day on Thursday, Nov. 16, at sunset.
Give Miami Day, the largest annual giving event in the Southeastern U.S., is an opportunity to make a philanthropic impact on the Greater Miami area by donating to local organizations and programs that make a difference, including MDC’s Miami Book Fair, which has a goal to raise $20,000 in 24 hours to purchase books in English, Spanish and Creole for children in need.
The Miami Foundation and partners will provide a bonus donation for every gift between $25 and $10,000 on Give Miami Day. To give and learn more, visit www.givemiamiday.org.
