Miami, Nov. 16, 2016 – The 33rd Miami Book Fair, the nation’s finest and largest literary gathering at Miami Dade College (MDC), with the generous support of OHL- Arellano Construction Co., presents Street Fair Weekend on Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 20, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., which will feature more than 200 national and international exhibitors, music, food, and much more.
“Successful projects and events like the Miami Book Fair enrich our Community by preparing our students to compete into today’s workforce. OHL-Arellano is proud to continue its tradition of giving back to MDC and the local educational community, a community we have been part of for 42 years,” said Frank Vilar, president OHL-Arellano. “It is a privilege for us to express our gratitude by supporting the Miami Book Fair, internships, philanthropic and educational programs. It is this yearly event’s success that continues to inspire and prepare our students for the future.”
There will be a diverse range of publishers, authors, artists and more with their publications on display. In addition to a wide selection of general books, exhibitors specializing in antiquarian books, artist books, comics, graphic novels, children’s books, health, history, mystery, books in Spanish, and spirituality and religion will take part.
This year, with the generous support of The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, independent publishers, zines and art books from all over the U.S. will be at the Fair representing many of the most critically acclaimed authors writing today
Writer’s Row, on N.E. Fourth St., will showcase local and regional writers, and give fairgoers the chance to chat with the authors and purchase signed copies of their works.
Besides a vast selection of books, Street Fair will feature: Oh-so-Florida events, live music and performances at The Porch readings, shows, music and activities for kids in Children’s Alley; tasty delicacies at the Food Court; and cooking demos at Kitchen Stadium.
Admission to the Street Fair is free on Friday. General admission on Saturday and Sunday is $8; admission for those 13-18 or over 62 is $5; those 12 and under are admitted free. The Street Fair will be located on N.E. Second Ave. between N.E. Second St. and N.E. Fifth St., and along adjacent side streets.
MBF will take place from Nov. 13 – 20, at the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami and promises to be another exceptional literary event.

Miami Book Fair
