In accordance with the provisions of Section 1009.23(20), Florida Statutes, the Board of Trustees gives notice that it will consider the following proposed increases in course fees:

Existing Course Numbers: CAP 2047 (User Interface Design); CAP 2048 (Game Development Project I); CAP 2920C (Game Development Project II); DIG 1111 (Digital Character Design); DIG 1132 (Digital Art and Design); DIG 1302 (3D Modeling); DIG 1430 (Storyboarding); DIG 1437 (Narrative Storytelling); DIG 1710 (Introduction to Game Development); DIG 1729C (Game Engines); DIG 1772C (Introduction to Virtual & Augmented Reality Technologies); DIG 2113 (Post Production & Editing); DIG 2304 (Character Animation); DIG 2318 (Animation Studio 1); DIG 2319 (Animation Studio 2); DIG 2370 (Character Modeling & Rigging); DIG 2391C (Animation Studio 3); DIG 2396C (Motion Capture); DIG 2626 (Artificial Intelligence for Game Development); DIG 2712 (Level Building & Design); DIG 2717C (Game Systems Design); DIG 2790 (Texturing & Environment Design). Existing Course Fee: $97.00. How Current Fees are Expended: Lab fees directly support technical staffing, lab operations, and the acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of specialized equipment required for student success, workforce readiness, and job placement. Rationale and Necessity for Proposed Increase: The School of Engineering, Technology and Design is requesting a course user fee increase from $97.00 to $129.55 for 22 existing courses due to rising operational costs, cumulative inflation, and the technical demands of maintaining industry-standard instruction. These courses support the existing Associate in Science in Game Development and Design program. This course fee request will directly support student learning and success by covering the cost of technical staffing, lab operations, and the acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of specialized equipment required for student workforce readiness and job placement. Proposed Course Fee: $129.55. How Proposed Fees will be Expended: For each of the 22 courses, the user fee per student is $129.55. For $129.55, students will be provided access to five (5) part-time lab tutors; animation software (including consulting/mentorship services, the Wacom Intuos4 / DTK2100 Grip Pen and replacement parts, MAGIC promotional items, and licensing software for 3D animation, GPU rendering, sculpting, VFX, and motion design); and animation and game development equipment (including Precision 7960 Tower and Solotech audio hardware).
At the meeting, the Board of Trustees may also discuss potential real estate transactions.
