MDC’s Koubek Center Presents Han Beyli, The Harden Project, Victoria Blue and Flute Virtuoso Eric Chacón in the Third Edition of Jazz@Koubek, May 30–31

MIAMI, May 8, 2026The Koubek Center at Miami Dade College (MDC) announces the return of Jazz@Koubek, a premier two-day musical showcase celebrating the depth and diversity of jazz. On Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, South Florida audiences will experience a world-class lineup of local and international virtuosos in the heart of Little Havana.

Now in its third year, Jazz@Koubek has become a cornerstone of Miami’s cultural calendar, providing an intimate setting for jazz aficionados and newcomers alike to experience groundbreaking performances.

Saturday, May 30 | 8 p.m.
Han Beyli — Quintet: A versatile and dynamic bassist, Han Beyli blends ethno jazz, funk and pop, delivering performances that are both emotionally engaging and rhythmically compelling. He has headlined major festivals worldwide and fuses his Middle Eastern heritage with Ukrainian roots, transcending genres including jazz, pop and R&B.

The Harden Project — Quartet: This duo-led ensemble showcases exceptional chemistry and improvisation. They have performed at major festivals across the state, including the South Beach Jazz Festival, Palm Beach Jazz Festival and Jazz in the Park.

Sunday, May 31 | 6 p.m.
Victoria Blue — Quartet: Honored as Best National Vocalist at the New York Music Festival, Victoria Blue has collaborated with artists such as Ziggy Marley and Maluma. In 2025, she released her first Spanish-language album, El Arte de Volar, marking an important artistic milestone.

Eric Chacón — Quartet: Award-winning flutist and saxophonist Eric Chacón headlines the closing night. Known for his versatility and technical brilliance, his quartet explores Venezuelan rhythms fused with classic jazz improvisation.

The Koubek Center at MDC

A South Florida landmark with a long and rich history as a cultural hub, The Koubek Center is dedicated to building community through the arts. Over the past several decades, the Center has offered a variety of activities, including workshops, art exhibitions, theater performances, literary readings and concerts. It is a place for artists and local arts organizations to explore, experiment, collaborate and share their work with the community. The Koubek Center includes a 200-seat theater, an expansive garden, classrooms, rehearsal and multi-use spaces. Built in 1929 by Austrian trader John J. Koubek as a gift to his wife, it was later donated to the University of Miami and acquired by Miami Dade College in 2011.
