MIAMI, Nov.10, 2025 – For a decade, Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo (Week of Italian Cuisine in the World) has brought the flavors of Italy to Miami, and this year marks a special milestone. Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Miami Culinary Institute (MCI) is partnering with the Consul General of Italy in Miami to host an exclusive masterclass with celebrated Italian Chef Vincenzo Borriello on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MDC’s Wolfson Campus. Working media is welcome.
Chef Vincenzo Borriello is the founder and executive chef of Baia Blu in Miami, where he brings the flavors and traditions of the Amalfi Coast to the United States. Born and raised in the heart of Italy’s Campania region, Chef Borriello refined his skills and culinary sensibilities along the Amalfi Coast. At Baia Blu, located in Coconut Grove, he curates a menu inspired by the rich flavors of his homeland—fresh seafood, handmade pasta, vibrant produce, and the signature brightness of Southern Italian cuisine—beautifully infused into a modern Miami setting. With more than a decade of experience across some of Italy’s premier dining venues and now at the helm of his own establishment abroad, Chef Borriello seamlessly blends artisanal Italian culinary heritage with a contemporary approach that complements Miami’s dynamic dining scene. Under his direction, Baia Blu has become known not only for its exceptional cuisine but also for its atmosphere of elegance, warmth, and Italian coastal ease—making it a sought-after destination for both Miami residents and visitors looking for an authentic taste of the Amalfi Coast in Florida.
At this event, hosted by Wolfson Campus President Dr. Beatriz Gonzalez and Consul General of Italy in Miami, Michele Mistò, Chef Borriello will guide MCI students in preparing signature Mediterranean creations such as Linguine alla Nerano, Ravioli alla Caprese and Delizia al Limone. The session will end with a tasting, giving students and attendees the chance to experience Italy’s culinary excellence firsthand.
