MDC’s Miami Book Fair Presents 2025 Little Haiti Book Festival

Miami, April 30, 2024 – Miami’s beloved Little Haiti Book Festival, presented by Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Miami Book Fair and Sosyete Koukouy of Miami, returns on Sunday, May 4, at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex and online on Sunday, May 18. The Festival is free and open to the public.

Held both in-person and online, the Festival is a vibrant celebration of Haitian culture and heritage, featuring local authors and publishers with books in English, Haitian Creole, and French, alongside thought-provoking panels on immigration and the future of Little Haiti.  The lively program offers dance performances by NSL Dance Ensemble, music by DJ Nickymix and Papaloko, poetry and theater workshops, and yoga and meditation sessions. Children will enjoy storytelling, drumming, artmaking with GOGO MOAD artists, games, free books, and various other interactive activities, ensuring the event is both entertaining and educational for attendees of all ages. About Sosyete Koukouy of Miami
Established in 1985, Sosyete Koukouy of Miami, Inc. (soh-see-ay-TAY koo-koo-yuh) is dedicated to preserving Haitian culture in the United States through education, arts, and cultural presentations to Creole and non-Creole speaking audiences.
