Learn to Build Websites in Eight Weeks at the Idea Center at Miami Dade College

Miami, June 15, 2016 – The Idea Center at Miami Dade College (MDC) will host an information session Tuesday, June 21, at 6 p.m., about Webdev, a new course that allows participants to learn from the ground up how to build responsive websites in only eight weeks. The event is free and open to the public.

“By the year 2020, more than 60 percent of managerial positions will require coding as a skill,” said the Idea Center’s Executive Director Leandro Finol.  “Webdev is a great chance for anybody to take a first step into the coding world.”

Participants will learn HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to become fully capable of creating a responsive website, freelance as a web developer or boost their marketing and design skills in their professional careers.

The eight-week program begins July 19 with classes meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 – 10 p.m.
