Miami, June 28, 2024 – Miami Tech Works will offer its first free webinar in a series of workshops designed for small businesses in South Florida. The webinar, Creating Talent Pipelines: Apprenticeship and Internship Program for Your Business, will take place on Monday, July 15, from 1 – 3 p.m.
Miami Tech Works is an industry-led tech sector initiative launched last year as part of a $10 million Good Jobs Challenge grant with the goal of bringing together business leaders and education and training providers to align academic programs with industry needs. Partners include Miami Dade College (MDC), Miami-Dade County, City of Miami, Miami-Dade Beacon Council, Refresh Miami, Florida International University (FIU), OIC of South Florida, Florida Memorial University and CareerSource South Florida.
Presented in conjunction with the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at FIU, the first workshop will focus on creating apprenticeships and internship programs for small businesses. Led by expert Human Resources Consultant Kiomara Hidalgo, the workshop will guide business owners through strategies to enhance workforce and ensure sustained growth by developing a robust talent pipeline.
