MDC and FIU officials signing agreement

In an ongoing effort to expand career opportunities for students, Miami Dade College (MDC) and Florida International University (FIU) announced several transfer articulation agreements to expand opportunities for students in tech and hospitality programs. The agreements were officially signed by MDC President Madeline Pumariega and FIU President Kenneth A. Jessell at a special ceremony to mark the 26th Annual FIU-MDC Day.

“This most recent collaboration with FIU creates unique and seamless pathways for our graduates in tech and hospitality programs to continue their studies locally,” said President Pumariega. “It is a testament to our longstanding partnership with FIU and underscores our overarching goal of developing the talent workforce of tomorrow.”

MDC-FIU Day celebrates and fosters collaboration and dialogue between MDC and FIU. Each year administrators, faculty and staff convene to share information and strengthen the relationship between the institutions.

“At FIU we are proud to join MDC in creating new and strategic pathways to success for all of our students,” said FIU President Kenneth A. Jessell. “Through our longstanding collaborations, we are ensuring that our graduates are equipped to lead and innovate in key industries, driving our community forward.”
