Miami Dade College Named Among Nation’s Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics

Miami, Oct. 17, 2023 – Miami Dade College (MDC) has been named among the country’s Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics by Hispanic Outlook on Education magazine. MDC received three #1 rankings: awarding the most associate degrees; highest enrollment among four-year schools and awarding the most liberal arts and sciences/general studies and humanities degrees. In addition, MDC was recognized as a top producer of bachelor’s degrees.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a top institution for Hispanics,” said MDC President Madeline Pumariega. “We are dedicated to preparing the workforce of tomorrow and meeting the educational needs of our community.”

In the Top 100 issue, Hispanic Outlook recognizes higher education institutions across the country that enroll the highest number of Hispanic/Latino students in the 2021-22 academic year, as well as those where those students account for a large proportion of the total student body. The lists are compiled from the Department of Education’s database of completed higher education surveys from all 50 states.
