Miami, Nov. 10, 2022 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Business Innovation & Technology (BIT) Center will launch Miami’s first Intelligent Automation Summit, a one-day event where participants will gain an understanding of how to use artificial intelligence, machine learning and business process automation to scale and create value for companies. The summit will take place on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at MDC’s West Campus in the City of Doral. This event is free and open to the public with registration.
“The advent of artificial intelligence has spurred a new wave of interest in automation, as businesses seek to harness its power to further improve their operations,” said Chechu Lasheras, BIT Center director. “The companies and software leading this area provide Industry certifications that can offer a lot of value to education. This provides students with the opportunity to learn specific skills that are in demand by employers and can give them a leg up when it comes to job hunting after graduation.”
The summit will include several sessions led by industry experts, including Sam Merrill (Appian); Luis Barcenas (Automation Anywhere); Sandeep Kurne (Capgemini); Gladys Gonzalez (City of Doral); Sanjay Chopra (Cognistx); Rey Villanueva (KPMG); Mike Mio (Imperial Fright Brokers); Antonio Delgado (Miami Dade College); Ignacio Pastor (Sngular); Luis Lepe (Telefonica Tech); Miguel Pando (Transcargo Solutions) and Cassio Christianini (SAP).
The Expo and Demos part of the summit will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with participating companies SAP, Automation Anywhere, Capgemini, Appian, KPMG, Sngular, Telefonica Tech, Cognistx, Transcargo Solutions, Imperial Freight Brokers, Bluegrass Education Technologies, Roots Education, CeleriTech, as well as City of Doral.
