MDC Homestead Campus to Host a Panel Discussion with Muslim Women

Miami, March 4, 2016 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Homestead Campus will host a Muslim Women’s Panel, a discussion about being a female Muslim in the United States and abroad on Thursday, March 10 at 11:15 a.m.  The event is free and open to the public.

The timely panel consists of professional Muslim women who will discuss and then participate in a Q&A about their experiences. The event is the fourth of six Islam Today Lecture Series events held at the Homestead campus in partnership with the Coalition of South Florida Muslim Organizations, (COSMOS) highlighting religion, culture, and the performing arts.

“Increasing MDC students’ knowledge of Islam exposes them to multiple cultures that range across the world,” said Randall Kaufman, Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Additional Islam Today Lecture Series events include a religion panel on April 7, and regarding Ramadan on July 7.
