MDC North Campus to Host D3 Art + Design Conference & Expo: Discover Your Craft

Miami, March 15, 2017 – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) School of Entertainment & Design Technology will host its 3rd annual Digital Design Den (D3) Art + Design Conference & Expo, April 4-6, at MDC’s North Campus.  The event focuses on the exploration of all aspects of traditional art, digital design, and technology.

With this year’s theme of Discover Your Craft, the conference kick-offs with a 6 p.m. opening night screening of Design Disruptors and a comprehensive outdoor exhibition hall.  For two full days, students and the community will be treated to a host of creative sessions: interactive design, hands-on creative technology demonstrations, design challenges, networking & mentoring.  The hands-on approach is aimed at highlighting and developing creative talent in the areas of commercial arts, motion design and visual effects.

D3 will again convene a diverse community of creative thinkers and designers whose work is rooted in these emergent creative industries. This conference is more than design tips; it is about developing and sustaining list of companies collaborative design community for local design students and industry professionals. The conference also includes portfolio reviews, a college fair, and many other exciting aspects.

Highlighting the D3 conference space this year is Michael Jager, chief creative officer at Solidarity of Unbridled Labour, a company that produces creative branding concepts and design for entities such as Microsoft, Nike, MTV and others.
