MDC North Campus’ Actors Arena Presents La Bodeguita de Hialeah

Miami, Oct. 21, 2016Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus’ Actors Arena will present La Bodeguita de Hialeah, an adaptation of the play La estanquera de Vallecas by Spanish playwright José Luis Alonso de Santos. Directed by Max Ferrá, this Spanish-language play will be presented Oct. 28 – Nov. 6, at the North Campus and is free and open to the public.

La Bodeguita de Hialeah is a quirky comedy about an out-of-work mason and his young friend who decide to rob a bodega store in Hialeah. The store owner and her granddaughter are taken hostage, which results in police presence to pressure the captors for their release. Meanwhile, inside the store, confrontations rise between the captors and hostages, but as time goes on, they all begin to relax and sympathize for one another.

Fridays: Oct. 28 – Nov. 4, at 8:30 p.m.

Saturdays: Oct. 29 – Nov. 5, at 8:30 p.m.

Sundays: Oct. 30 – Nov. 6, at 5 p.m.
